Junior & Youth Quads

Our school quad bike sessions are suitable for children aged 10 years+.

The sessions start with a full safety briefing and instruction on quad bike controls. In small groups of 4 or 5, children begin on one of our woodland Quad Tracks which consist of many varying challenges to test all levels and capabilities.

If your group masters our track assault course quickly they will be taken on woodland treks designed for the age group.

Quad Trekking is a fun and exhilarating activity as part of a School Activity Day or School camp, developing students independence and confidence as they rise to the challenge of mastering this new skill.

Safety Information

Please note the maximum weight for riding our quad bike is 20 stone.
Minimum Height - 124cm (4' 1").

We use 90cc bikes for children aged 10-15 years, and 125/150cc bikes for 16+. However, our policy is to ensure that the quad bike is the correct size for the person. If our instructor feels that a child or teenager would be safer on a larger bike then we will use one of our 125cc/150cc bikes with this child/teenager. Equally any riders aged 16+ that our instructors feel are too small to handle a 125/150cc bike will be asked to ride a 90cc bike. Our instructor will always discuss and agree this with the organiser/ teacher.

To cater for all abilities, the bikes are operated with automatic clutch and gearbox, so there is no need to change gear.

You will be given a safety talk and full practice session on the training quad tracks. In the case that we do not feel that participants are "confident or competent" enough to go trekking we will continue the session on the training course. Our client safety comes first at all times.

What our customers say

Thank you, we had a fantastic time and I have only heard great things from the boys. Same again for next year please.

Warwick School - Year 7 Camp - Sept 19

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to your team for an enjoyable weekend - this is the second year we have attended and the children and staff had an amazing time thank you so much we love coming to Oakerwood.

Mary Hare School - May 2019

Once again, a huge Thank-You to you and your team for a brilliant couple of days in the woods. The activities were just right for the boys, and the feedback we got was overwhelmingly positive. So… We’d like to get booked in for next year please!

James Soper - Warwick School - Oct 18

We had one camp village with pods to ourselves which made it easier to allow the pupils to be under our supervision during free time which was good! The staff are very friendly and very approachable and most importantly child friendly. Hopefully this will be the first of more visits planned by our secondary school. Cheers Oaker Wood

Holte School - Oct 17

First time of taking out school pupils to Oaker Wood. The pupils stay in camping pods which I thought were quite accommodating and warm with heaters that automatically switch on if the temperature goes below 18 degrees. The site itself is very impressive with an array of activities to suit all ages and abilities spread over the site.

Holte School - Oct 17

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your hard work and the hard work of your fantastic staff to make our trip so successful.

Caroline Gilbert - Kings High, Warwick - June 16

I wanted to thank you and the rest of the team at Oaker for another fantastic weekend. All the students are still buzzing from the activities and again we were looked after brilliantly.

Natalie Anderton - St Thoms More 6th Form

The food is plentiful and delicious ("this is the best curry ever", said several boys), and the activities of adrenaline high ropes and paintball are perfect for the needs of active lads.

King Henry VIII School

Difficult as it may seem, the Oaker Wood experience was even better this time than last year. With the newly-built wooden pods, the boys had heated accommodation and no wind or rain could unsettle their night's sleep. The camp remains a magical place, with the fairy lights and firepit. Even the compost toilet has become part of the legend!
