Adventurous Activities in a Magical Forest
Our Multi-Activity Days and overnight camps fulfil the PE National Curriculum target of Outdoor and Adventurous Activity Challenges.
We encourage Team Building and leadership skills for children aged 7-11, combining fun and personal development in a wonderful woodland environment. Watch children flourish in challenging new surroundings.
We are open all year and can accept groups from 10 children to 350.
We specialise in residential camps for KS2.
We still await Government clarification on school trips in the summer term of 2021, but are taking bookings from schools, with a promise to refund, amend dates if school trips are not permitted.
See your students grow amongst our trees.
Camping is a great way for children to explore the outdoors, the excitement of sleeping in one of our Wooden Glamping Pods with their school friends adds to the whole Oaker Wood Experience.
We have 2 completely separate Glamping Villages so each school has exclusive use of a village, no sharing facilities with other schools. Each village sleeps up to 60 children, or for larger groups both villages can be booked together.
Accommodation is in Wooden Glamping Pods each sleeping between 4 and 8 on bunk beds. Pods have electric lighting and heaters for the colder months.
Each Village has a covered communal dining area where you can opt for catered/self catered or a mixture of the two.
At the heart of each Glamping Village is our fire circle. Toasting marshmallows, singing camp fire songs and telling ghost stories all make great memories of an Oaker Wood Camp.

High Ropes & Zip Wire
Our High Ropes challenges are favourites amongst Primary school children. New experiences and facing their fears, mean children gain in maturity and confidence.
Our High Ropes activities are also key to developing skills in peer support and mentoring as children encourage each other to tackle the challenges.

Rafting is one of the highlights of a visit to Oaker Wood especially for schools staying on site with us as the session is often followed by camp fire & hot chocolate.
In addition to learning some key water safety skills there are plenty of races, games and, for those that wish to, a wild swim in the lake.

We offer Paintball from 8 years as we have Low Impact Paintball. The guns are smaller and the paintballs smaller too, so less painful.
Our paintball zone is the most established in the area, children love the realistic scenarios based around our bus, trucks and helicopter.
